The opportunity
India is the world's fastest-growing HNI market, adding 80,000+ new high-net-worth individuals every year. These are the people who play golf. The same CXOs, founders and business families who make billion-dollar decisions are spending their weekends on golf courses across the country. DP World just brought a $4 million prize purse to Delhi. Sony holds broadcast rights through 2028. International capital is arriving. The sport is here. The audience is here. The infrastructure isn't. That window between a market that has arrived and a system that hasn't been built is exactly where Playroot sits.
The brief
India's best golfers travel to Europe and the US where Majors are played and they cannot compete. Different grass, weather, courses, competition. No Indian performance centre has ever solved this. No structured pathway has existed. Playroot Sports has. We've signed a partnership with a European golf performance lab with exclusive Asian operations rights led by a PGA Certified Coach who has trained the world's best players, and a mental performance coach who has worked with ICC cricketers, BCCI players and Paralympic athletes. Indian juniors train residentially in Europe. World-class coaches fly to India for clinics. One corridor. Two directions. One mission: India's first Major champion.
The edge
Every golf academy in India trains for Indian conditions.
Why now
Why didn't anyone build this before? Because the market wasn't ready. The HNI base wasn't large enough. The courses weren't there. The international attention wasn't present. All three are now true simultaneously. And on the performance side, Indian golfers have always struggled internationally.
