The Indian nutraceuticals market is ₹74,000 crore and growing at 13% a year. The functional beverages segment alone accounts for nearly half of that. India's spirulina market is growing at 21.8% CAGR, one of the fastest growing food ingredient markets in the world, and India is the dominant producer in the Asia-Pacific region. Globally, the wellness economy is valued at $6.8 trillion and the shift happening within it is clear: consumers are moving from more ingredients to better absorption.

Its active compound phycocyanin absorbs at 95%, reaches the mitochondria directly, reduces oxidative damage, and over 30 days upgrades the body's baseline absorption capacity along with improved cellular function leading to improved longevity.
04Timing

Why now

Three tailwinds are converging simultaneously. First, the Indian wellness consumer has spent a decade trying supplements and not feeling results — they are ready for a brand that explains why and fixes it. The vocabulary of cellular absorption is unclaimed in India and the window to own it before better-funded players arrive is open right now. Second, the US FDA is banning all petroleum-based synthetic food dyes by end of 2026. Blue 1 and Blue 2 are gone. Phycocyanin from blue spirulina is the only natural blue that scales globally — making FYN's hero ingredient a regulatory beneficiary at the exact moment the brand is being built around it. Third, the Indian government sent spirulina to the International Space Station in 2025 under PM Modi's BioE3 policy — institutional validation at the highest level that will generate years of earned media for any brand built around this ingredient.
